New issue: Selectus Wines July 2021

|  Comments

Summer is here and with the summer and the better outlook on the pandemic, we are all eager to make up for lost time, to be with family and friends, enjoying a good glass of wine in any of its variants (white, red, rosé, sparkling, etc.).

Fernando Fernán Gómez (1921-2007), a well-known writer and actor in Spanish artistic circles in the second half of the 20th century, once wrote a story entitled "Bicicletas son para el verano" ("Bicycles are for summer"). Well, in this issue of Selectus Wines, and as a nod to consumer trends, we have put together a special report on rosé wines because the general belief among the wine-drinking population is also that "rosé wines are for summer". In this report, by our columnist Xavi Ayala, you will find a wide selection of rosé wines of all origins and prices. Served well chilled, these wines are sure to make for great drinking over the summer.

This summer issue also includes a very interesting interview with Miguel Torres Maczasseck, General Manager of Familia Torres, with whom we discuss Regenerative Viticulture, the topic of a first Symposium a few days ago in Vilafranca del Penedés (Barcelona - Spain).

We also bring you Guillermo Cruz’ regular feature dedicated to a grape variety (in this case, the Godello), as well as our tasting section in which we highlight those wines that have impressed our panel at our regular tasting sessions.

So relax, sit back and enjoy your magazine. And take care of yourselves... don't forget we are still fighting "the bug".
