Juvé & Camps launches Gran Tribut Joan Juvé, a tribute to its founder and the winery’s pioneering legacy in long-aged sparkling wines
The winery reimagines the name and identity of Gran Juvé & Camps — born in 1972 as one of the first premium wines from the Penedès — to honour its family legacy, its origins, and the enduring value of time.
Juvé & Camps introduces Gran Tribut Joan Juvé, the new identity of Gran Juvé & Camps, one of the most iconic sparkling wines in the portfolio of the century-old Penedès winery. The new name and visual identity preserve the essence of this landmark release, long associated with mastery of the traditional method, extended ageing and a deep affinity with fine dining.
Gran Tribut Joan Juvé is a tribute to Joan Juvé Baqués, the winery’s founder and the source of a distinctive vision for wine. The evolution reflects a desire to express more clearly what this sparkling wine means to Juvé & Camps, placing at the forefront the continuity of a family whose values — respect for origin, rigour, precision in winemaking and belief in the value of time — have been passed down from one generation to the next.
“Gran Tribut Joan Juvé reflects our wish to honour a family history that is central to our identity, and to celebrate Juvé & Camps’ pioneering role in long-aged sparkling wines,” says Meritxell Juvé, fourth-generation member of the Juvé family and CEO of Juvé & Camps.
Created in 1972, Gran Juvé & Camps — now Gran Tribut Joan Juvé — was conceived as one of the house’s flagship expressions and as a bold commitment to premium, long-aged sparkling wines in the Penedès. Ever since, it has held a prominent place in the Juvé & Camps collection for its depth, elegance and ability to complement the finest cuisine.
Made by the traditional method, it draws from a careful selection of parcels planted with Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Mediterranean Chardonnay and Parellada, chosen for their balance and expressive potential. More than 80 months of ageing lend complexity and harmony, resulting in a sparkling wine that is precise, layered and distinctly individual.
The wine is sourced from a meticulous selection of estate-grown, 100% organic vineyards on emblematic Juvé & Camps estates: Espiells, Mediona —with Can Massana— and La Cuscona. Each site contributes a distinct quality: Espiells brings identity and structure; Mediona, freshness, tension and elegance; and La Cuscona, depth, balance and Mediterranean character. This diversity of landscapes gives rise to a sparkling wine of great precision, in which the vineyard shapes the character and time refines the expression.
The new identity supports this evolution with a sober, contemporary presentation in keeping with the wine’s positioning in Juvé & Camps’ premium tier. The design reinforces its timeless character and aims to convey, through understated elegance, the quiet emotion of a sparkling wine rooted in family memory and the winery’s future ambitions.
“Giving this wine the name of my grandfather, Joan Juvé Baqués, is a way of paying tribute to the origins of our family story and to his way of understanding wine. Gran Tribut Joan Juvé carries that inheritance — the respect for the land, the rigour and the trust in the value of time — and projects it into the future with the same commitment to excellence that has always defined Juvé & Camps,” says Joan Juvé Santacana, Chairman of Juvé & Camps.
Gran Tribut Joan Juvé opens a new chapter for one of Juvé & Camps’ most storied releases, preserving the memory that gave rise to it while projecting its character towards the future. That character has already been recognised by leading critics in 2026: 95 points in the Peñín Guide, 93 points from Tim Atkin and 93 points from Wine Spectator.
