Issue number 14

In this issue of the magazine, we have introduced a new section on a subject rarely found in other wine magazines - the vertical tasting. The purpose of a vertical tasting is to explore the history of a particular wine through its various vintages - its evolution, its different blends, the effect of the year’s weather, its development in bottle, and so forth ... It’s a bit like taking a look at someone’s life history. We had two very special partners for this first vertical tasting: our venue, Sergi Ferrer-Salat’s Monvínic, the wine lovers’ place of worship in Barcelona, and our guest wine, Finca Garbet from Castillo de Perelada.
