New issue: Selectus Wines January 2024

Once a year, we all do the same thing and before we know it, another Christmas season is upon us again.  Another year has flown by and yet so much has happened in these last 12 months. This magazine has brought you numerous articles about interesting wineries and important figures in the world of wine, we have tasted different wines from all around the world... and yet we still have so much more to learn!

As you know, the world of wine is never-ending. Every year is a new story, a new challenge and a new life (when it comes to the vegetative cycle). New wines appear, each one with a different story to tell depending on the weather conditions over the year.

But there is something we all do at this time of year, time and time again, and that is celebrating the arrival of the New Year.

As the lyrics of a song by the famous Spanish pop group Mecano say, "People, tall or short, for once we do something together at the same time,...", and that, right now, is to say goodbye to the year that is coming to an end and to welcome in the New Year.

In some parts of the world where conflicts have been raging for some time now, they will not be celebrating the New Year with the same joy as those of us who are lucky enough to live in relatively peaceful parts of the world. Despite this, we sincerely hope and wish that, even if only for a few minutes, a few hours, they can have a glimmer of hope and excitement in the New Year that is beginning.
