New issue: Selectus Wines April 2022

It won’t be long now... 3 months, in fact, until Selectus Wines publishes its 40th issue... the 10th-anniversary issue, although, if truth be told, the first edition of the magazine actually come out in May 2012. So, here we are...

But let's leave reminiscences for the next issue... an issue we are putting together with a lot of love and pride... it is going to be an issue packed full of fascinating and heavy-hitting articles...

But this current issue is not short on content either... it features a winery that is rich in many senses (Numanthia), an interview with Julián Chivite whose winery celebrates 375 years of family history (one of the longest in Spain), a piece devoted to the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal, our usual tasting notes and reports on some great wine events which we had the pleasure of attending.

FINE, the only wine tourism fair in Spain and now in its third edition, showed us the potential and future direction of this sector. And special mention should be made of a double event that recently took place in Catalonia: the region's best sommelier competition and its subsequent celebration at the "Nit dels Sumillers", when the best sommelier in Catalonia was announced at the Roca Brothers' Mas Marroch restaurant, at one of those dinners you don’t forget in a hurry!
