Corpinnat is a model that protects the territory and builds a solid alternative for the future

Pere Llopart presented the objectives and activities of the collective brand before the Agriculture Committee of the Parliament of Catalonia.

“We cannot and do not want to walk alone: models that generate value and local roots, such as Corpinnat, must be institutionally recognised and supported”

The president of Corpinnat, Pere Llopart, stated today at the Parliament of Catalonia that “Corpinnat is a model that protects the territory from the constant threats it faces and builds a solid, value-based alternative for the future”. “It is a path forward for a strategic sector for the country, a clear commitment to protecting the territory, strengthening the sector and building a better future for Catalonia as a whole,” he explained. Pere Llopart appeared this afternoon before the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Parliament of Catalonia, where he outlined the objectives and activities of the collective brand.

President Pere Llopart warned that after years of drought, which have left many farms at their limit, “the future of vineyards is at risk if we do not act”. “Not only is this risk economic, but territorial, environmental, and social”, since “losing vineyards means losing landscape, economy and identity”.

Corpinnat, he explained, is much more than a regulation or a technical definition: “it is above all a model—a model that prioritises value over volume, improves remuneration for winegrowers, helps retain population in the territory, is sustainable and protects the land”“And this model works”, he stressed. This is demonstrated by the economic return generated for winegrowers in 2025, with €4.3 million from grape purchases at a guaranteed minimum price, as well as the employment, economic activity and wine tourism impact generated.

“Corpinnat aims to add value”

Pere Llopart reiterated to the members of the Agriculture Committee that “models that generate value and are deeply rooted in the territory, such as Corpinnat, must be institutionally recognised and supported”“We cannot and do not want to walk alone: viticulture needs support to tackle climate change, internationalisation must be fostered, and the promotion of quality wines must be reinforced”.

“Corpinnat does not seek to replace anyone nor act independently: Corpinnat aims to add value”. “It aims to provide a path based on excellence, transparency and commitment to the territory and to the people who make it possible”, because, he noted, “Catalonia cannot compete only on price; it must compete on quality, identity and credibility”. “Corpinnat is exactly that”, he concluded.

Corpinnat in figures

Currently, 22 wineries are part of the collective brand, founded in 2018, with more than 5 million bottles and €60 million in turnover.

The collective brand is the only label in Catalonia and in Spain that guarantees a minimum price for grapes purchased from supplier winegrowers, with a commitment to annual revaluation. In 2025, the minimum price was €0.92/kg, 47% higher than in 2018. This generated an economic return of €4.3 million from grape purchases from supplier winegrowers. The main market continues to be local: in 2025, 79% of sales were made in Catalonia and Spain. In 2025, Corpinnat wines were sold in 64 countries.
