29th May 2017
Appearance: Very bright, cherry red, clean and bright, nice tears.
Nose: Very aromatic, blackberries and blueberries. Floral notes and aromas of chocolate and liquorice, crème de cassis and smoky notes.
Palate: Good acidity, medium body and a good tannic structure. Notes of tobacco, very oaky character, finesse and elegance. Spicy with notes of incense and cedar.
Comment: An austere and powerful wine, with cellaring potential, because this is not a wine for immediate drinking, but one that should be opened when at its very best in about ten years’ time.
